The House (Villa Tres Volcanes)

Villa Tres Volcanes was constructed in 2013. It lies within a gated community about 10 to 15 minutes away by Uber from the Central Square of Antigua. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet. A robust Wi-Fi system, television, and a variety of games await visitors staying at home.

Lily, Guatemalan born but a person who lived in the United States for most of her life, purchased the building in 2021. This was intended to be her dream home. Unfortunately, cancer shortened her life, and she passed away early in 2025. Afterwards Mary Ann and Bob acquired the house. Their intent is to maintain or enhance what Lily began and your English speaking host will welcome visiting guests in an Airbnb-like fashion.

This is no cookie cutter house. Each room has its own personality and is beautifully constructed. As you enter through the outer gate, a small garden patio area awaits you. Then, upon passing through the front door, you're in a common area, which is open to the backyard. Because of Antigua's eternal spring climate, there's no need for a heating or air conditioning system at Villa Tres Volcanes.

As you enter the enclosed sector on your left, you view a large open area that combines the kitchen, dining and living room spaces. From here you can make your way to the second floor via a snake-like staircase. There, a common area first greets you. It offers a porch with two hammocks, areas for leisure or individual work, and the ability to gaze down upon, via different viewpoints, the first floor living space, backyard, or the lower courtyard.

On this level, you may enter the three bedrooms, each with its own separate bathroom.

Around the corner of the house there is a beautiful little park with paths. If one cares to walk or run a bit further, traversing the perimeter of the condominium complex takes about one hour.

If you choose to stay at Villa Tres Volcanes, the price that you see is the final price that you need to pay. Taxes, cleaning, and Airbnb fees are already included. Serenity, safety and beauty are characteristics of Villa Tres Volcanes.
